How Scolavo works
Twelve short guides. Each one covers a single part of the product, takes about two minutes to read, and comes with a screen recording of the thing it describes — start anywhere.
Learning
Finding something to learn
3,680 classes across 124 subjects. The job of the front of the site is to make that number feel like a shelf rather than a wall.
Taking a class
A class is one lesson at /lesson/[slug]. It has two modes and a fixed sequence of steps.
Explore and Labs
Two different things with a family resemblance: Explore is an interactive step inside a lesson; Labs are standalone simulations with their own…
Practice and mastery
/practice is where a skill goes from "I have seen this" to "I can do this".
Spaced review
/review — "Keep it from fading." A short queue of things you have learned and are due to see again.
The Curious Feed
/feed — micro-learning in a scrollable column. One idea per card, mixed with questions and review, finishable in a sitting.
Test Prep
/test-prep — four standardized tests, each modelled on its real published structure rather than on a generic quiz engine.
Plans, access and learners
Access is decided by hasAccess() in lib/access.js, in this order:
Your dashboard
The learner view
/dashboard, first tab. The question this view answers is "what should I do now?" — everything on it is either an answer to that or evidence you are…
The parent view
/dashboard, second tab. "Your learners."
The teacher view
/dashboard, third tab. "Teach with Scolavo."
Account and settings
/account — "Manage your profile, plan, and learners." Signed out, it is a sign-in wall: "Your profile, plan, and learners live here."
