The Curious Feed

/feed — micro-learning in a scrollable column. One idea per card, mixed with questions and review, finishable in a sitting.

What is in the deck

reviewsomething you have learned before — "Time to revisit this one."

Every card has Go deeper →, which opens the full class it came from. The feed is a doorway into the corpus, not a replacement for it.

Finishing

The feed is finishable — that is the design. Reach the end and you get "That's a great session" plus Daily Spark complete!, not an infinite scroll. Pull a fresh set ↻ is there if you want more, but it is a choice you make rather than the default.

That decision is the whole reason this surface exists as a counterweight to the rest of the internet, and it is worth defending in review.

Tuning it

Tune your feed opens FeedPreferences:

  • Content mix — how much of each card type you see
  • Subjects — filter to what you care about, with a search
  • Classes — narrow to specific classes, or All classes
  • Reset all — back to defaults

There is also a per-card "Showing less of …" control, which tunes the feed from inside the scroll rather than making you go to a settings screen.

Streak and library

Streak (Daily Spark) shows your current run, the next milestone, and Your week — a rolling seven-day strip and what you learned in it. The same seven days appear on the learner dashboard; they read from the same history, so they always agree.

Library holds what you saved and liked, with a direct Open → back to the class.

One implementation note

An Exercise card needs type: 'mcq' or its options do not render. This is the single most common way a feed card ships broken, and it fails silently — the card appears, with no answers on it.
