Cookies & storage

Working draft. Plain-language summary for the Scolavo mockup; not legal advice and to be reviewed by counsel before launch.

What we store on your device

To make Scolavo work, we keep a few small things in your browser’s local storage. Today these are all strictly necessary — they exist only to deliver the parts of Scolavo you asked for (staying signed in, remembering your progress, your theme, your learning mode). We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or sell anyone’s data.

What we do not do (today)

If we add analytics later

If we ever introduce optional analytics, it will be off by default and we’ll ask you first with a clear choice where declining is as easy as accepting. On children’s accounts, anything non-essential stays off and is handled through a parent, not a child’s tap.

Children & parents

Scolavo is built for families and schools, so we follow children’s-privacy rules (COPPA, GDPR-K, and the UK Age-Appropriate Design Code): high privacy by default, no nudging, and no non-essential tracking on kids’ accounts. See our Children’s Privacy notice and Privacy Policy.

Managing what’s stored

You can clear Scolavo’s stored data anytime from your browser settings, or sign out to clear your session. When optional categories exist, a Cookie settings link in the footer will let you change your choices at any time.
