02 / Why Scolavo exists

It started at a kitchen table.

We’re parents first. When we chose to homeschool our kids, we wanted two things badly: to give them teaching as good as the best classroom in the world — and to be able to follow along with every step of their learning, so we’d always know they were genuinely growing, not just getting through.

Nothing out there did both. The great lessons were scattered and joyless; the tools that tracked progress didn’t teach; the ones that taught well didn’t show us anything. So we built the school we wished existed — cinematic enough that our kids ask to use it, rigorous enough that it covers their whole education, and transparent enough that we can sit beside them and see exactly how far they’ve come.
