A language model turns every word into a vector — a point in a space with hundreds of dimensions. This atlas flattens that to two, but the idea survives: words that mean similar things sit in similar directions from the centre.
Similarity is measured by cosine — the angle between two vectors, not the distance. The warm cone is every direction close to your seed; the dark below it is the opposite meaning. Two words can be far apart yet point the same way.
Because meaning lives in direction, you can do arithmetic with it. The step from man to king is a "royalty" direction. Carry that same step from woman and you land on queen: king − man + woman ≈ queen.
Real models learn these directions from billions of sentences — nobody places the words by hand. Analogies, translation and search all fall out of the same geometry.
